Individual Therapy

Areas of Focus:

  • Anxiety

  • Self Esteem

  • Relationships

  • Trauma

In individual therapy our conversations will provide you with opportunities to identify what you want to be different in your life and your relationships, and what may be getting in the way. My hope is to provide you with a safe and supportive space where you can gain clarity around your concerns and begin to shift your story of yourself and how you experience the world.

Life is busy and balancing work, relationships, and responsibilities is overwhelming. This stress impacts the ways we relate to other people (feeling anxious in social situations or frustrated with partners and friends).

Through individual therapy you can:

  • Find solutions for coping with difficult emotions

  • Understand patterns you have in relationships

  • Feel more confident in social situations and meeting new people

  • Live more presently and deal with stress effectively

Questions about individual therapy

  • Due to potential conflict of interests I am only able to see you for either couples therapy or individual therapy. If we work individually together and you are interested in couples therapy I can provide you with referrals for couples therapists.

  • The length of therapy depends on your goals and needs. Throughout therapy this is something that we will have ongoing conversations about and we will determine a length that feels best for you.

  • As a registered social worker my services are covered under most private insurance plans. Please reach out to your insurance provider to confirm your coverage.

    • Virtual appointments available anywhere in Ontario

    • In-person appointments located at Work in Progress Mental Health Collective: 1304 Dundas Street West, Toronto, ON (near Dundas and Dovercourt)
